Tabula Rasa
The film begins with the main character's feeling of alienation in an exhibition hall. This process, shaped under the guidance of surrealist works belonging to Sculptor and Art Director Aykut Öz, particularly the 'Gates of Hell', turns into an internal and external journey consisting of 11 different tableaux.
Project Manifesto and Philosophy
A digital and physical projection of the 'Playground of Moving Ideas' manifesto, Tabula Rasa is inspired by John Locke's philosophy defining the mind as a blank slate. Examining the processes of isolation, entrapment, and desocialization brought by the pandemic era, the project positions art as a space for mental and physical rebuilding.
Editing and Cinematography
The editing of the film was undertaken by Coşku Türkel and Özgür Can Alkan, and its cinematography was shot by Eray Mert in the dynamic space of CERModern.
Dedication
This work is dedicated to the precious memory of the esteemed late director Şafak Türkel, one of the architects of the Sinemadans Ankara Festival, who made significant contributions to the field of dance film in Turkey.
