Towards the Republic
Prepared by the Ministry of National Education as part of the 100th-anniversary celebrations of the Republic, 'Towards the Republic' brings the epic of heroism during the National Struggle and the founding of the Republic of Turkey to the stage. With a large cast of 110 artists, it premiered in Ankara and undertook an extensive tour across Turkey.
Choreography and Stage Dynamics
The choreography of the piece was designed by Özgür Adam İnanç and Serhat Güdül. The intense dynamism required by the giant cast of 110 and the historical events of the era was structured with an effective movement pattern reflecting the spirit of the time and reinforcing the sense of unity.
Historical and Artistic Foundations
During the writing and editing phase, the aim was to accurately reflect historical realities in an artistic form, working with a 15-person archive research team to achieve this.
